Mechanical Design Specialist

Design and make fixtures used for testing printed circuit boards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Using CheckSum CAD program, design test fixtures
  • Communicate with team members to ensure all details required are included in the test fixtures
  • Apply knowledge of mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic fixture press operation to fixture design
  • Operate CNC equipment to drill fixture components
  • Operate lathes to create custom components
  • Assemble test fixtures
  • Document test fixture design through use of CAD and hand drawings
  • Participate in team meetings to improve the fixture design process and contribute ideas
Experience/Skills Required
  • Bachelors degree (ME) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a machine shop or similar environment
  • Creative thinker with ability to visualize future results
  • Outstanding PC skills especially CAD
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent collaborative team player
  • Experience with shop tools (CNC, lathe) strongly preferred
  • Electronics industry experience strongly preferred
  • Test fixture experience a plus

Test Engineer

Develop in-circuit power-on test application solutions for customers using CheckSum test systems. Work for a company with a proven 25+ years’ record of providing PC-based test solutions in the board test industry.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design and development of power-up test solutions using the CheckSum test platform
  • Deploy the CheckSum on-board programming solution to program embedded software into
    customer boards in production
  • Quote, design and debug custom functional/power-on test solutions
Experience/Skills Required
  • BSEE or equivalent
  • Familiarity with the use of DSOs
  • Familiarity with analog and digital circuit design
  • Skilled at written and verbal communication in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Windows OS
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer oriented work ethic
  • Willingness to travel
